Project Description

The Los Angeles Waste Processing Plant is a large-scale environmental infrastructure project developed to strengthen the city’s waste management capabilities while supporting sustainability, recycling, and resource recovery objectives. Designed to handle high volumes of municipal and commercial waste, the facility plays a critical role in reducing landfill dependency and promoting environmentally responsible waste processing practices across the greater Los Angeles region.

The plant integrates advanced waste sorting, recycling, and treatment systems, enabling efficient material recovery and safe disposal of residual waste. The project was executed in compliance with stringent environmental regulations set by California state authorities and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with a strong emphasis on operational safety, environmental protection, and long-term performance.

JG Building Group was responsible for delivering major civil, structural, and infrastructure works for the Los Angeles Waste Processing Plant, a high-capacity facility designed to support sustainable waste management, recycling, and resource recovery for the greater Los Angeles region.

  • Industrial & Structural Construction:
    Construction of processing halls, tipping floors, sorting facilities, equipment foundations, administrative buildings, and control rooms.

  • Heavy-Duty Foundations & Equipment Bases:
    Execution of reinforced foundations and vibration-resistant bases for shredders, conveyors, compactors, and waste processing machinery.

  • MEP & Utility Infrastructure:
    Civil integration support for power distribution systems, water supply networks, compressed air systems, fire protection, and wastewater handling.

  • Wastewater & Leachate Management Systems:
    Construction of leachate collection tanks, drainage channels, oil separators, and treatment infrastructure.

  • Internal Roads & Logistics Flow:
    Development of heavy-vehicle circulation roads, truck weighbridges, loading bays, and traffic management infrastructure.
